The Vineyard  (1989)
Nomination Year: 2012
SYNOPSIS: James Hong seems to have this penchant for films in which he's a Chinese mystic attempting to appease some god or other into giving him eternal life by mind-controlling and then sacrificing unspeakably hot ladies. This is one of them. And I've basically described the whole plot. Except in this one, he's a famous winemaker who lures groups of appropriately young and sexy people to his island under the pretense of making a film. Then there's the whole Picking Them Off One By One trope before the Final Sacrifice Fight.
