Tagline(s):
Tonight, at Sundown... The DEAD Will LIVE.
Nomination Year: 2024
SYNOPSIS:
All right, I'm going to sum up the entire plot for you. Ready? Here goes: "There are these zombies, see?"
That...is about it. It literally starts with a nice family taking a shortcut through a cemetery when zombies attack. Then it follows two families and how they deal with the undead and each other. You want explanations? You want reasons? Even hints or foreshadowing? You will be disappointed.
With a cast that has such star power (like Anthony Michael Hall, Daryl Hannah, Alan Ruck...Shirley Freaking Jones), you'd think there'd be more to it. Nope.

Oblivious
Yeah, She's Too Dumb To Live
Rachel is running from the zombies. The area seems reasonably well-lit. She's running facing forward (no looking over her shoulder). Still...BWoMP! Right into an open grave, where (you guessed it) the zombies get her.
"Alas, Poor Yorick"
Dora the Ex-Plorer Gets It
Officer Lopez cop tries to help a little Hispanic girl, but is interrupted by a panicked citizen trying to swipe his cruiser ("Swiper, no swiping!"). They struggle over the cop's sidearm and...BLAM! Do YOU see the impending friendly fire? Where?
Inane Dialogue
Inane after Inane
"It's just like camping! Everything is gonna be fine, sweetie! This room is safe! See? Nothing is gonna get you! And in maybe a week, the cops will save us because the good guys always win!"
"WHAT?!"
God Says Nope
The family is desperate to get away from the area to safety. They spot a car! There are no zombies or anything nearby. Okay, there's one, but he's walking way out in front of it and--BOOOOOM! The freaking car explodes for NO REASON other than as a big throbbing middle finger to Anthony Michael Hall.
