Shadowzone (1990)

Nomination Year: 1998
SYNOPSIS:  Government sleep experiments lead to an invasion of monsters from another dimension. Wouldn't it have been easier to just lay off the caffine?

"Let's Up The Rating To 'R'"

Let's Up the Rating to "Double-D"
"Jenna's" bosoms heave gracefully in sleep. Also, we get a good shot of some male and female anatomy when Hickock observes the test.

Stupidest-Looking Monster

Madame Pip
John Doe as "Madame Pip" looks like one of those dried-apple faces you get in Pennsylvania Dutch country.

Smithee Award Winner! Worst Science

Tuning into the Wrong Station
Sleep researchers use the brain as a radio tuner to break into other dimensions.

Acting Appropriately Stupid

Pole in One!
At the end, the woman scientist goes right up to the dimensional rift, sticks a metal pole inside it, then turns her back on it. The pole comes out of it and (justly) skewers her.
