"You're Going Down, Madman!"
That constant, annoying sound is not a tea kettle; a supervillain is destroying the world with a sonic brain disruptor that's killing everyone except, for some reason, our hero Dick Barton. Using his Supreme Iron Will and Incredible Intimidation Powers, Dick advances on the villain, who, more amused than annoyed, simply backs up in front of him and turns up his machine. He backs up right into a convenient elevator shaft.
