The Wicker Man (1973)
Anthony Shaffer's The Wicker Man
Nomination Year: 1997
SYNOPSIS: There is a murder -- or maybe not. In any case, a prissy Scottish policeman is sent to an isolated island to investigate. There's really bad paganism, and he gets offended. Then there are strange instances of music and nudity, and he gets offended.
Then he's sacrificed to ensure a good crop next year, and we're offended that they took 102 minutes to do it. Ugh.

Those People Are Naked!
The policeman is talking with Lord Summerisle, when he notices a group of people off in the distance:
"Those people are naked!"
"Naturally; it's far too dangerous to jump through fire with your clothes on."
And Now It's Time for the Musical Number
The innkeeper's daughter takes off all her clothes, and attempts to seduce the policeman from the other room by dancing, singing, and pounding on the wall. The film is supposed to be a documentary.
