Legion of the Night (1995)
Dead City

Nomination Year: 2005
SYNOPSIS:  A scientist and his assistant discover a way to reanimate dead tissue, and are blackmailed by a Mob boss into using these cybernetic zombie assassins (CZAs) to commit crimes.

At one point they resist, and the scientist is killed (his assistant merely wounded). The scientist's son then comes into the picture [literally], and after being killed, he is transformed into a CZA to hunt down and destroy both the Mob boss and the remaining CZAs under his control.

Most Ludicrous Premise

CZAs: Cybernetic Zombie Assassins
The assistant explains to the scientist's son what they've been working on all these years.

Oblivious

Zombification Ruins Your Peripheral Vision
Our undead hero gets clobbered by a CZA attacking from "hiding."

Worst Science

Super Zombie Adrenaline, Just Like Daddy Used Uo Make
The assistant explains how the CZA procedure works. Sort of.

"Cutting Butter With A Chainsaw"

How To Get Out of Organized Crime
You don't. The Doc gets a ton of lead, along with the CZAs, computer equipment (bearing bright yellow "University of Michigan Property Disposition" tags), chairs, wall, etc.

Crummiest Ending

"Freeze!"
Hero very suddenly and pointlessly killed by cops. Movie abruptly ends.
