SYNOPSIS: A rogue star, code-named Gorath, is cutting a swath of
destruction through the solar system on a collision course
with Earth. Not to fear, though. Japan has a bold plan to
save the world. No, it's not what you're thinking. I have
no idea what you're thinking, but I'm sure it's not this.

Most Ludicrous Premise |
The Rocket Is Lit, And So's the Producer Since the rogue star Gorath is on a collision course with Earth, the only way to save the world is to build a giant nuclear rocket at the South Pole and fly the Earth out of the way. If you consider the movie to be Show & Tell, this is the Show.

Arguably the father of Godzilla -- in a
metaphorical sense. If there's a giant
rubber Japanese monster hanging around,
he's probably the guy pointing the
camera at it. |
