Vital Statistics

Name

What the public calls the character in his/her costumed identity (e.g., "Hyper-Man"). The player often chooses this, though it could be a name the public thrusts upon the character.

Identity

What people call the character when not in costume (e.g., "Craig Kendall"). This may be a secret identity (which carries with it the problems of maintaining the secret), or a public one (which carries with it the problems of paparazzi and a danger to associates and loved ones). This is chosen by the player.

Age

How old the character is (in Earth years). This may be chosen by the character, or rolled randomly.

In the original ruleboook, you rolled 2d6+12+Level. Since many supers are older than 25, I recommend 6d6 or, better, consult the tables below. -B.

Here is the original table from the rulebook,
meant for people in the "general population":

1d20 Result Age Roll
1 - 3 1d8
4 - 6 1d8+8
7 - 9 1d8+16
10 - 11 1d8+24
12 - 13 1d8+32
14 - 15 1d8+40
16 - 17 1d8+48
18 1d8+56
19 1d8+64
20 1d8+72
Here is my modified version for
"adventuring" (e.g., PC) types:

1d20 Result Age Roll Label
1 1d8+4 Kid
2 - 3 1d6+12 Teen
4 - 8 1d8+18 Young Adult

17 - 18 1d20+44 Middle-Aged
19 1d20+64 Senior
20 Ancient Immortal*
*Choose. Could be hundreds or millions. The character could be some kind of alien, immortal, or anachronism. If such a power/background is not warranted, reroll.

Experience Level

All characters begin at Level 1. See the section on Experience for more information.

Sex

The player chooses this.

Affiliation (formerly known as Side)

This will be determined by events, the campaign, and the GM. It could be the character's "Side" (i.e., Good, Neutral, or Evil), the name of the supergroup or organization to which the character belongs, or the name of the player's campaign.

Race, Origin, and Background

The player may automatically choose to be human, from any country on Earth. If he/she does not wish to choose, or wishes to have an unusal or non-human background (alien, anachronism, lost civilization, etc.), he/she must roll on the table below.
